Ryker is 5 months old!! What where did the time go??? He is amazing I love him so much. He is super curious about everything especially his brother (he acts like Easton makes the world turn round). He has one blue eye and one brown eye. I think that his hair is going to be red, because it's getting lighter and lighter. Oh and the best part he loves me MORE than dad finally!!!! MY boys are growing way to fast. That's it I am going to figure out how to STOP time.

I have totally and completely not even thought twice about blogging since Ryker Roo arrived. I Have to suck up ever baby second I can!!! But New Year!! New You(ME)!! That is my new motivation!! First to get this blog back up and going!! Get organized every single room. Yes you all know I am a hoarder I love stuff!! Not any more New Year!! New You!! We have made family goals for the year and we are sticking with em what we are practically half way done okay so we are only in like a week.

Ryker Nicholes Sloan was born on August 12 @ 4:47pm

When Ryker arrived he was black and not breathing... He had a rough start. But he is a tough little guy. We have nick named him tough. He was suctioned out and had a broken collar bone. But he was so perfect and the biggest miracle.

I can't believe it!! Easton is not a baby or a toddler anymore he is a BIG kid (that's what he says, he is still my baby)!! We had his Train birthday party at Jumpin Jacks, which is the best place they are amazing and they clean up after you.

Crazy kids!!

We went to a hidden campground in Sterling Utah. It was amazing they had everything you could imagine there: golfing,hiking,play ground,lake with little boats that you could rent, fishing and of course riding. But we didn't get to do any of it!! It rained the entire weekend!! Not just a little rain but enough to flood all the camp sites and make us sit in the trailer all weekend. It did stop for about 30 min.

We went camping with are new trailer, that I love it's so nice. We got this trailer a couple of month ago but with all the crazy that we had going on we didn't get to take it out until Memorial weekend. It was fun! We had some great friends go with us Matt and Candace and there really cute puppy Chief, Easton sure gave Chief a run for his money!!
I don't think that there is any rocks left out of the stream that ran behind are camp.

Easton found every rock he could and threw them all in.

The cave is at the top of this hill I have drove by this cave a million times and I never new that it was there.

Chloe arrived just a little to early, she was not yet ready for this crazy world. She stole are hearts the second we laid eyes on her. She was amazing. She was here for just 10 days but impacted everyone that loves her. Summer and Buddy and there wonderful kids we love you and we are here for you. Her last day, her oldest brother Wyatt asked us why God wouldn't let her come home to play with him. It was one of the hardest questions that I have ever been asked by an 8 year old.

One of the kindest guys I have ever known passed away after a long fight with the obstacles that stood in his way Cody changed my life forever, he told me one day when we where driving around in the fields that I needed to get different friends and a different life he expected more for me than the way I was living I was better than that. Cody always new what to say and when to say it. He was the funnest guy that could make a joke out of anything and everything. I will miss him.

Easton wanted to go to the beach...so we flew to California over the weekend and took him to the beach he had so much fun. He didn't want to leave as long as he could stay at the beach and bring his friends. While we where there we got to spend some really fun times with Uncle Brian. Easton thinks that Uncle Brian owns Southwest (wait ago Bri). To this day every time we see a SWA he says that it is Uncle Brian and his airplane!!

Easton had a dentist appointment. He does so good he doesn't cry or have a fit, as long as his dad takes him! If I take him we don't even get in the door with out a come apart. The bad news is that he has a cavity. Look how relaxed he is.

Nick took Easton over to the greatest sledding hill ever THE PETETNEET!! Easton went once with Nick and then he wanted to go by himself. It didn't really work out that well, he went down and didn't get out of the way and was hit by a bigger boy. He didn't cry!! He stood up grabbed his sled and started walking home!! He is so silly!

Polar Express

We took Easton to the Polar Express. Easton loves train!! When I heard about The Polar Express I had to take him!! And of course he LOVED it. He was so excited. And the besties ( that's what Easton calls his cousins Curtis and Annabelle) came with us to top it off!
On the way to Heber Easton said "if you cry when you see Santa he will not get you any presents for my birthday!" (Easton thinks that Christmas is his birthday).

My wonderful brother got Easton a BB gun for his 2nd birthday, and it has stayed in the box for over the last year. We went shooting with the enitre family out at west mountain, and Easton asked if he could take his gun. It was put away out of sight out of mind, I thought! He remembered that he had gotten his own gun and wanted to shoot it. So we took him and some cans and he shot for quite a while I was really excited that he liked it so much.

The things that I am Thankful for...

So on this Thanksgiving day Nick and I have discussed some of the trial's that we have been going through and even the hardest of times there always seems to be something even small to be thankful for. Here are some of things that I am Thankful for and blessed.
I am very thankful for my life and the chance to share it with Nick, and are wonderful son. I am thankful for Easton, we may not have any more children, but I have Easton to bring me so much joy and happiness.I am thankful for the best husband ever and having the chance to spend time and eternity together. I am very thankful for the church and all of the wonderful members. I am thankful for having the priesthood in my home and the blessings that follow. I am thankful for the small things that people do in my life that sometimes go without recognition. I am thankful for my families health. I am thankful to wake up every morning in my wonderful house that Nick built for me. I am thankful that Nick has a great job so that I don't have to work away from home and get to spend time with my little man. I am thankful for people that have influenced my decisions in life to be where I am and who I am and not to be ashamed. I am thankful for my friends that are always truly a friend when. I am so thankful for all my wonderful nieces and nephews that are all amazing! I am thankful that I have had a truly blessed life in so many ways I could not list them all without forgetting something.

Totally have slacked at the blog lately!! So here is are Halloween Party! It was so much fun. We had a great time with great food and then we watched Monsters vs Aliens on a big projection screen set up in the back yard. I just wish that I hadn't spent that morning in the hospital. Things would have been so much better, good thing I have such great family to help out!!

Family Reunion 2009

We had so much fun this past week with my family. We went to the mountain ( La Sal mountains in Monticello). I was asked by me grandfather to plan the reunion this year. It was so nice to see everyone came we only missed out on one cousin. We had so much going on that I am only posting a few things or it would take days to cover it all.

We planned on doing alot of fishing and camping the entire weekend at Flaming Gorge. Well it didn't really span out that way. It rained and hailed the entire time!! So we didn't fish and called it off early and went to Clora and Brien's house. But we did have a great time! Easton is totally a camper he loves every second of it.

Every time that we have taken Easton on a walk or hike, we get stuck caring him the entire time. He is 35lbs it's not that fun! So today I asked him if we went on a hike if he would walk the entire time? He said he would. So off we went to the Grotto it's maybe a mile hike and the trail is pretty groomed and there is bridges of course his favorite part. The Grotto is a waterfall. We had so much fun. Then Nick got this great idea to hike above the Grotto and see what it looked like from up there. Not such a great idea straight up and then down hill.

We have found are Pro-Football player in the family Curtis is really good. While they stayed with us we got to watch him at his first practices. He was killing me when all the other kids wanted to stop because they where tired, Curtis had this big old grin from ear to ear wanting more!! At the very end of practice they run the entire football field and Curtis ran completely around it again after the team was done.

We had such a great time last night. George is amazing he does not perform like Garth Brooks did running around and dancing, he just stood in the same spot and sang. This is Spanish Fork's biggest secret. We had so much fun and that is where you will find us the rest of the summer!! Easton stayed in the water for about four hours. He only got out to go potty .(Yes Easton will not pee in the pool or any kind of water) . We went with all the cousins it was a blast. All the kids waiting to get in.

We had such a great time with everyone this weekend! Easton could not get enough of the wheelers it was so funny.He got to ride the motorcycle with Nick and they ran out of gas and had to push it back to camp, it's all East has talked about every time I have asked him if he had fun camping. We went on I would say probably one of my favorite rides ever. But Nick's bike broke and then it started raining and we where only about 12 miles into are 30 mile ride. Having the smart husband and brother's that I do they came up with a way to finish the ride! And we still had a great time. We we got back to camp we just ate good food and hung out with great company!

We had a great Independence Weekend. We went to a BBQ with my family that Richie put on. Okay I like his style he says that he is going to do everything, and hands my mom his wallet. He kills me! So my mom prepared everything as usual, what a great mom!! Then we went to June's house for another BBQ and swim time!! Always good times!

My cousin has these two beautiful horses that her daddy bought for her for her birthday last year! Easton loves them he is always asking when do we get to be cowboys with the horses. So for his birthday his Aunt Clora got him a stick horse and we got him a cowboy hat. So he is officially a cowboy!

Camping with family in Bryce Canyon!

Over Father's Day weekend we went to Nick's family reunion in Bryce Canyon. We had a blast!

Easton made it! Last year every time we went camping he would cry and have a come apart until we brought him home (at 2am in the morning). Not this year he is officially a Big Boy Camper!
On are way down we got a flat tire on the trailer!! That's when are 3 hour drive turned into a 6 hour drive. We stopped and got the spare tire fixed when we found out that the trailer had the wrong tires on and they where all about to blow, so we had to change all five tires.

Luckly there was a McDonald's right in the parking lot. We got the kids lunch and ice cream and found some shade under a sign. They had fun playing with cousins while we waited.
When we arrived to Ruby's Steve was about to leave on a ATV tour. So Bryce took us out into Bryce Canyon on the wheelers it was so beautiful and fun we took all the kids. Nick seen some Bear tracks and we found some fun trails. We had a really great time thanks Steve and Bryce for having a fun job! And the ROCKS where amazing, even the poop rock. : )
Easton loves sticks maybe it's a boy thing. He always wants to take them home. Winston was helping him pick them out.

We stayed at the new Hotel that the Syrett's just got finished. But we got there late and they started shutting everything off on us. The pool was really cold. The hot tub was perfect.

We had so much fun with family this weekend, we can't wait until next year! We are making this a tradition to go to the family reunion every Father's Day. Maybe next year we can stay longer then the weekend.

Easton riding his bike. My sister bought this for him last year for his birthday, but we kept it over to her house so that he could ride with the girls. Well he asked to bring it home, so we did. Everyone knows that are drive way is really steep, like four wheel drive in the winter! Okay maybe not that bad.
His legs are just not long enough to reach the peddles and they slow him down so he runs as fast as he can.
He finally caught on that if he lifts his legs he will go faster down the hill (drive way).
The first few times he would try to climb to the top BUT...
He started getting tired...Then...

He would just pick it up and carry it to the top... again and again.

I was laughing so hard... he was having a blast... so of course he started posing!! What a crazy boy!

Friday night we went to the movies, we went and watched the movie UP. It was so cute!And a little bit of a tear jerker. Easton had a lot of fun, but the movie didn't seem to keep his attention very long. He wanted to go home about an hour into the show. After the show we went for ice cream. Scooby helped himself with a little help from Easton.

Easton had so much fun hanging out with the girls today! Easton and Brooklynn are just a little over two weeks apart. They have so much fun. Candace always plays so well with Easton, she is the most well behaved girl. The Holdaway's got chicken's for Easter this year so we got to play farmer and feed them.

Easton received his first black-eye this past week at his Uncle Brian's house. He fell off a chair, and then the chair fell on top of him. Poor little guy was pretty upset. All week every time he has done something wrong or got into something, he says "mama my eye hurts" and then points to his black eye. He was killing me. He sure knows how to work the system already.

Nick and I are so excited we are going to get sealed in the St. George Temple on Saturday May 23 and then on Sunday May 24 it is are anniversary we will be married for 6 years!! Why the St. George Temple? Nick's mom and dad where married there 42 years ago and they have never been back through. So we thought that it would be a great experience for us all to go together again.

Easton got his tonsil's out and tubes (2nd set) put in. It makes me sooo sad when they take him from you and he is crying saying "I want my mommy!" It broke my heart. He is such a brave little boy! And he didn't even cry after surgery. He just said "Mom go home NOW" His surgery went really well. He has had tons of sicles (Popsicles) and ice cream. But he acts like my regular crazy boy eating chips and anything with sugar. Thank you so much for all the sicles and prayers!!

We had such a great time Saturday with everyone! Easton played so much that he slept right through the night and we had to wake him up for church. That never happens! We had so much fun riding this weekend in Moab. We had a great time visiting with our wonderful grandparents and listening to stories about my family history. I am related to some remarkable people. We got to see a lot of places that my family had homesteaded and cowboyed.

My great grandfather Elmer built this as a half way house ( like a hotel) it was in the middle of no where.

This is the first ride that Easton has really gone on. We had trouble with him last year not wanting to wear his helmet. Not this year he just put it on and was ready to ride. I thought he would fall asleep, nope he made ooohhh and aaahhh noises the entire time.
He thinks that he is soooo funny!

Spring is here finally and so are the babies! Easton watched a new baby arrive. He named him John Deere (imagine that) . Every time we walk outside he says "Mom SSHHHH, the baby is sleeping" It 's really funny. He will stand on the fence forever and watch John Deere. That makes a total of three babies. The twins that are white and John Deere he is black.

Easton will call the sheep over and talks to them. He is my silly boy.

We also had a play date with all the cousins. Easton had so much fun. First we went to Barry's (the best fry sauce ever) and got lunch to eat at the park. Then we played at the park for hours. It was fun. They are making there funny faces.

We (okay I was bored) where bored this weekend so we decided to paint Easton's room and his bathroom!! So Nick and I started taking everything out of his room. We have his mattress in the middle of the living room, Easton walks in and says "My bed?" I said "Yep!" Then he started jumping like it was the greatest thing ever!! The little things make them so happy!! I love it!

Well Easton is two and a half so it is about time that he starts earning his keep around here.So we put him to work. He had a lot of fun painting his room. He kept asking to paint it blue. Crazy kid!! I know I know he is always naked in all his pictures, the kid hates clothes.

Eden!!! Are new baby girl! She is the smallest thing that I have ever seen!! She weighed in at 6lbs and 8 ounces 17 inches long!! My wonderful brother in law let me go in the OR room with Tenia and hold her hand it was great!! Thank you Edwin!! She loves me already!!

Today we took Easton on a train ride(traxx ride). He loves trains! As everyone knows Nick is against public transportation so after a few days of convincing him that it was going to be okay, he said "yes" So we had a great opportunity to visit Steve and Bryce at the Monster Circus Show. It was so much fun, they had snow boarders, skateboarders, motocross, musicians,taggers,artists and tons of booths. We stayed pretty busy. Easton was so wore out by the end he could barely stay awake on the train ride back to the car. Thanks Steve, Bryce and the kids for hanging out and showing us a great time.

I had never had Sushi, until last night! It was not what I expected. I thought that it was going to be smooshie and smell fishy. NOPE it totally did not. It was crisp and didn't smell at all. We had a great time out Thanks to Brian, Rachelle, June, Curtis and Annabelle. We also went to a movie, the first adult movie that sounds bad non-carton movie in a long time. We went and saw the Knowing. All I'm going to say Really aliens!!Really!!

Today I took Easton to build-a-bear. To make a stuffed animal. He loved it! He was so excited to give it Train (that's the Bear's name) a bath. It would blow air on the bear and they had little brushes that you use to brush and clean your animal. Then of course we had to play in the tree house and on the dino.

Has anyone ever spent the weekend three whole days in bed?!?!?! It is not fun I am on day one and going crazy!! The weather is beautiful and I want to be outside with my husband and son. First we got to see the Glen Canyon Dam. Easton was afraid to walk on the bridge. But with a little reassurance he was all over it!

I love to travel and every year for my birthday Nick always gets me a trip. But he usually lets me know way in advance so that everything is prepared. So I didn't think that we where going anywhere this year. But surprise! GRAND CANYON!

Last Night we where lucky enough to have the Hunsaker's come for the weekend.It was a birthday surprise! (Even though my birthday is not until next week!) We made a tent out of sheets over the TV and watched Madagascar 2. We also made little Chocolate muffins for breakfast, I love the little muffin pan! Thanks MOM!

Reiki

Today my best friend from high school, Keli came over and did Reiki with me. She is a level three practitioner. It was amazing she is really good and calming. This was my first time ever doing it, so I didn't know what to expect, but she was very reassuring in her energy and mine. While we did Reiki. Easton played with Gannin who is so cute and fun. Easton and Gannin had a really great time. Thank you Keli! I can't wait to see the results (hint, hint);). Thank you for the moon stone also.
